Over the past 9 years, I have had the privilege of becoming part of your dental family. Growing up, as I listened to my father’s stories of caring for the patients he holds in such high regard, I knew that Vinkovich Family Dental was not only about providing quality dental care, but also about forming long lasting relationships. He built his practice with a focus on a warm, close-knit atmosphere. This would not be possible without the support of our hard-working staff and our wonderful patients. Last year, Dr. Craig approached me about his readiness to prepare for retirement, and guided me in my transition to owner of Vinkovich Family Dental. We have since worked together to ensure that the office environment and quality of care would not change under new ownership. In the new year, I began the search to find another dentist to join our work family. While I know that there can be no replacement for my father’s 40years of devoted care and compassion, I sought to find someone who already had a connection to the local community, as well as the ability to foster new relationships with our patient family. After careful consideration of a large pool of candidates, we are very pleased to welcome Dr. Abigail Schmetzer, who will be joining us the end of th is month. She has a glowing resume and we are confident in her abilities to continue providing you with high quality dental care.
For those wondering what Dr. Craig will be up to, he will of course be taking some well-deserved time outside the office, but he has also graciously agreed to continue to help with this transition, in both a clinical and a mentorship role. If you are currently undergoing treatment with him, rest assured he will be finishing your case. He also plans to work in the laboratory, so you will certainly continue to see him around the office.
